Autumn 2011

It has been a while since my last blog update so I think it’s about time letting you know that I’m still going strong. This has been my busiest year ever with so many awesome gigs, tours and collaborations with such talented artists, and I love it!

After coming home from a great adventure of a tour in USA and Canada this summer I started to work with Bjørn Strand and Sigurd Ytre-Arne in a trio called Fyst. We went for a tour in Norway in September, and it’s a pleasure working with such devoted and talented people. We are now planning a tour in Europe in January together with Utku Tavil. You can read more about this project here:

I can also recommend you to check out their other bands. It’s so cool!

Lori and Innes Watson are coming over to Norway for the second time this year for a tour with Boreas in October. This time we will visit Voss, Stavanger, Haugesund, Naustdal, Ørsta and Bergen. We have started working on new music for our forthcoming cd, and we’ll be touring UK next year.
LuckyLoop will do a short tour in Falun (SE), Vasa (F) and Oslo (N) in the end of October, and we will soon start to record our new cd!

In November I’ll be touring UK alone. It’s been a long time since I’ve played solo concerts now, and I’m really looking forward to it. I hope there’ll be time for a good scotch and some good sessions as well!
I’ve also been working with the english composer Rose Dodd for a while, working on her new piece “Mobius ii” for Hardanger fiddle and electronics, and this piece will be preformed for the first time at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival in England November 23rd. It’s my first time at this festival and I’m so excited about it. You can read more about the festival here:

Would be nice to see you there!
